Pipe Elbows

Paroc has developed special solutions for pipe elbow insulation that perform just as effectively as straight pipe insulation made with PAROC pipe sections. PAROC Pro Segments and Bends are prefabricated insulation components specially designed for pipe elbow insulation on industrial pipelines.

Dimensionally accurate prefabricated insulation components for pipe elbows make the quality of the pipe insulation better. Installing PAROC Pro Segments and Bends is a technically effective, fast and economical way of insulating pipe elbows. Unnecessary heat loss is minimised because no metal support is needed and operational costs are reduced.

For small and medium sized industrial pipe elbows, we recommend you use PAROC Pro Bends designed for pipe elbows of 90 degrees.

Like PAROC Pro Segments for large pipe elbows, PAROC Pro Bends perform just as effectively as PAROC pipe sections for straight pipelines. The installation of pre-fabricated insulation components is more accurate, which in turn leads to optimal final performance.

Paroc recommends PAROC Pro Segments for insulating large pipe elbows. Precisely dimensioned segments provide well fitting seams and do not require any reinforcements. PAROC Pro Segments creates added value compared to on-site wired mat installation.

The need to measure or fabricate external cladding on-site is eliminated. Cladding is easily installed on segments and the end result is of highest quality. See the comparison of heat flows with different insulation solutions on industrial pipes.

The benefits of double layer (DL) insulation and PAROC Pro Lock products can also be utilised in pipe elbows by using PAROC Pro Segment DL solution, in which the seams are sealed in order to minimise heat loss.

Double layer solutions are used for high temperature – for example, on a superheated steam pipelines.

PAROC Pro Segment DL is compatible with both PAROC Pro Lock sections and PAROC Pro Section DL products.

For high temperature pipelines, Paroc recommends double-layer solution.

In big pipe elbows, we recommend you use two bindings per segment.
